Industry Specific ComplianceThe Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC), on April 01, 2026, issued FAQs on the implementation of the Risk Based Premium (RBP) Framework, effective from the same date, for insured banks.

The circular clarifies that while RBP rates will now determine premium payable, the existing process for submission of Deposit Insurance (DI) returns and premium payment through the Samyak portal remains unchanged, including maker-checker verification, auto-calculation of premium, challan generation, and payment via NEFT/RTGS/IMPS.

Further, risk ratings and applicable premium rates will be confidential, accessible only to the MD/CEO/Chairman (or designated director). Banks must ensure accurate and updated details, as any misrepresentation may attract supervisory action. Detailed FAQs have been provided for operational clarity.
